There are a lot of new vehicle launches which are planned in the second half of this year. And there are some big names in it. Manufacturers from the world over are targeting the festive buying of Indians which starts from August.
Major launches includes :
Mercedes-Benz AMG-GT: Launches with a price point of Rs. 2 Crore + , this beauty will be the successor to its flagship SLS AMG and will come to India in July-August. It will rival the high-end versions of the Porsche 911 and the Audi R8.
BMW 7 Series : To be launched soon, this will initially offer just two engines, both with 3.0-litre capacities. The diesel will have 265PS of peak power while the petrol variant will have 325PS of peak power. Both engines will be with BMW’s 8-speed gearbox. BMW will also expected to launch a new 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine that will offer 450PS of peak power with all-wheel-drive.
Maruti-Suzuki S-cross : Expected to be launched in August 2015, the S-cross will be in the sub 10 Lacs category, even for its premium variant. The product was envisaged keeping in mind the growing Indian appetite for Compact utility vehicles. The SX4 S-Cross will feature a 1.3-litre (89bhp, 200Nm) and 1.6-litre (118bhp, 320Nm) multijet diesel units.
Hyundai Creta : Another Worthy competitor to take the S-cross and others like Duster, would be Hyundai Creta. Expected to be launched in July end, with a price range of 8 to 12 lacs. The engine options offered with the Creta are a 1.4-litre CRDi diesel, a 1.6-litre CRDi diesel and a 1.6-litre VTVT petrol engine that also power the Hyundai Verna.
Chevrolet Trailblazer : Looking up for competing with it local competitors, chevrolet is introducing A full powered SUV. To be made at its Halol plant, the Trailblazer will be featuring 2.5-litre and 2.8-litre engines. The 2.8-liter engine makes 180PS of peak power and 470Nm of torque while the 2.5-litre motor will feature 150PS of peak power with 350Nm of torque.
